Privacy Policy

Chip & Cell does not have user accounts, newsletters or comment forms. We do not ask you for your name, email address or any other personal detail in order to read the site, and we do not sell or rent visitor data to anyone.

What is collected automatically

Like any website, our host records standard server request data — IP address, browser and device type, referring page and the URL requested. This is used to keep the site running and to measure aggregate traffic. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and may collect data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view here in order to select and measure those ads.

You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info, or, in the EU and UK, at Your Online Choices. See also how Google uses cookies in advertising.

Analytics

We use aggregate traffic analytics to see which pages are read. We do not store information that identifies you personally.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site remains fully readable without them. If you are in the EEA, UK or California and want to know what data our advertising partner holds, follow the Google links above — that data sits with Google, not with us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Questions: see our contact page.
